I slutet av 70-talet kom mängder med fantastisk soul/-funk som jag själv upptäckte först senare men i och med Kurtis Blow's debutalbum från 1980 med klassikern "The Breaks" inleddes en hiphop- och funkperiod med mer elektroniska inslag och med personliga favoriter som Grandmaster Flash, George Clinton och Africa Bambaataa. Mycket är utgånget men det kommer återutgivningar med jämna mellanrum så det gäller att passa på när man hittar. Här följer ett blandat urval från perioden. / Morgan

Considered one of founding fathers of rap, Afrika Bambaataa has long been considered a revolutionary, both within the music business and beyond. Originally released in 1986 as a collection of previous singles, this highly sought after record has long since been out of production, until now.
